Angelina Jolie beamed with pride as she accompanied her daughter, Zahara, to the Women In Training (WIT) mother-daughter brunch in Montgomery, Alabama on March 1. Their stylish appearance sparked admiration from fans, with some suggesting that they bore a striking resemblance and others commending Zahara’s brilliance.
The Spelman College student took center stage at WIT’s fourth Mother-Daughter Brunch at the Renaissance Hotel. Angelina’s presence offered her support as she took the stage to speak on period poverty. Zahara delivered a well-researched 15-minute speech on menstrual equity that earned her a standing ovation.

WIT, a nonprofit dedicated to providing menstrual, dental, and hygiene essentials to girls in need, also praised Zahara’s speech. The organization’s president, Adeyela Bennett, noted that Zahara had thoroughly researched the topic and practiced extensively. Adeyela described her as both humble and passionate about ending period poverty.

Before the event, Adeyela had said, “We are truly honored that Zahara Jolie-Pitt will speak at the Fourth Annual WIT Mother-Daughter Brunch about her passion to end period poverty, which is the mission of Women in Training.”

The brunch, attended by hundreds of mothers and daughters, doubled as a fundraiser for WIT, founded by sisters Brooke and Breanna Bennett. Adeyela was also thrilled that Angelina Jolie would be one of the mothers at the event.
She noted, “We are also excited that her mother, the internationally renowned movie star Angelina Jolie, will join us to support her daughter and to support our goal of ensuring that every girl and young woman has the products she needs to live her life to the fullest extent.”

Angelina, who adopted Zahara from Ethiopia in 2005 when she was seven months old, loves to spend time with her six children despite her busy career.
